Aidan Taylor Obituary

Visit the Altmeyer Funeral Homes & Crematory - Chesapeake Chapel - Chesapeake website to view the full obituary.
Aidan Taylor, aged 20, passed away on February 23, 2026, in Chesapeake, Virginia. Born on December 14, 2005, in Warwick, Rhode Island, Aidan brought joy to the lives of all who knew him.

Aidan was a young man of many interests and talents. He had a deep love for soccer, both on and off the field. His enthusiasm for sports was evident in his devotion to the Manchester United soccer team and The Ohio State Buckeyes football team. Aidan found joy in anime, video games, and F1 racing, all of which enriched his life with excitement and imagination. He also cherished the creative pursuit of putting challenging Legos sets together.

As a student at Great Bridge High School, Aidan was a good student and enjoyed playing on the Varsity soccer team for all three years that he played for the school. He played center back and was part of the team that achieved the school's first ever Regional Title in 2022, achieving it again in 2024 and making it to the State Finals his sophomore year and again his senior year. He was named Captain his senior year and selected for the 5A All-Region 2nd Team.

Aidan was nearing the completion of his studies at Tidewater Community College, with plans to transfer to a four-year school next fall. . He was intending to study finance with the goal of being rich so he didn't have to work and could spend his time exploring the outdoors.

He is preceded in death by his beloved grandfather, Richard Clark. Aidan leaves behind a family who will forever cherish his memory: his father, James Taylor; his mother, Christina Taylor; his sister, Abigail Taylor; his brother, Andrew Taylor; his grandparents, Teddy and Elizabeth Taylor; his grandmother, Kathy Lines (Bruce); and many other relatives and friends.

Services to honor and remember Aidan will be held at Altmeyer Funeral Home, Chesapeake Chapel. Visitation will take place from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Monday, March 2, 2026, followed by the funeral service at 6:00 p.m.

Aidan's vibrant spirit, humor, and loving nature will be profoundly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. As we gather to celebrate his life, we remember the joy he brought into our world and the indelible mark he left on our hearts.

In lieu of flowers, the family is asking that donations be made to the Great Bridge soccer program.
