Obituary of Barbara Travis
Barbara Jane Travis, 85, of Sterling died Saturday January 13, 2024. Barbara was born September 19, 1938 in Sterling the daughter of Cloyd E. and Marvel E. (Kramer) Kendell Sr.
Barbara was a Breast Cancer Survivor of over 30 years. She was known for her love of hats and her stylish fashion. Most of all she loved spending time with her family.
Survivors include her daughter Sheila (Stephen) McLean of Pipe Creek, TX; granddaughter Susan McLean; great-grandchildren Christopher Ring, Sean Carjabel, Destiny McLean, Abigail Gil, and Gabriel Gil all of TX; brother Allen Kendell of Janesville WI; sisters-in-law Camilla Kendell of Colorado Springs CO, Ruth Beebe of Waldport OR, Aimee Kendell of Sterling, Sharon Kendell of Dixon, and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, son Robert Denning; grand-daughter Michelle Ring; brothers Murrell, Melvin, Roy, Wayne, Robert, Kenneth, Vernon, Cloyd Jr., Don, Gordon, Bill; sisters Grace, Jean, Darlene, Roberta, Marion.
Cremation rites have been accorded and Visitation will be 2PM-5PM Monday January 22, 2024 at Schilling Funeral Home & Cremation, Sterling.
A memorial has been established to the CGH Foundation and the free Mammogram project that CGH offers.
