Barbara VanTassel Obituary
Barbara met her foster family in Windham NY and developed a great love for her mom and dad,
Lorna and Carlton VanHoesen and their cows. Barbara graduated from Windham, Ashland,
Jewett High School in 1977. She went to work at Wormuth Brothers Foundry where she met
John VanTassel.
After marrying they worked together on several dairy farms. Barbara loved farm life and cows.
Barbara also worked at Ames. While working at Ames, Barbara and John had the opportunity to
adopt their beloved son, Shane.
After John's passing. Barbara went to work as a bus monitor at First Student and then at
Coxsackie Transportation. Barbara loved her students and enjoyed being with them during the
school year.
Barbara is survived by her loving son Shane and her companion Phillip, as well as numerous
foster brothers and sisters and friends.
Memorial Services will be announced.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the W.C. Brady's Funeral Home.

I meet Barb at amens in Greenville when work together. She was a great person. We had great times at work as well when all us girls would go out together. Best times ever. She is going to be missed greatly.
