Barbara Warren

Barbara Jean Gainers was born in Orange Park, Florida on April 29, 1948 to the late Jack Gainers, Jr. and Anree Young Allen.
Barbara confessed to Christ at an early age and was baptized into the Church of Christ by the late Bro. Israel. She received her education at Dunbar High School in Green Cove Springs, FL., where she met and later married the late Danny L. Williams. From this union 1 daughter, Cynthia Williams, and 2 sons, Danny B. Williams (Pee-wee) and Richard L. Williams (Ricky) was born.
Many years later Barbara moved to Tuscaloosa, AL with her 3 children. While in Tuscaloosa she held multiple job positions as a cook, cashier and insurance agent. She later met and married Frank Warren and from this union,1 daughter, Adrian was born.
Barbara later relocated to Orange Park, FL and started her career at Moosehaven. She became a Certified Dietary Manager, after a few years of showing commitment, determination and dedication as a Dietary Aide Barbara helped others in the community as well as her family members to obtain positions at Moosehaven. After 30 years of service she retired from her position at Moosehaven, while continuing to serve the Lord faithfully at Miller Street Church of Christ. Barbara was known as the "Mother of the Church" at Miller Street Church of Christ and she was also on the food committee, welcoming committee, and presentation committee for as long as her health allowed her to do so. Barbara also had a great love for the Jacksonville Jaguars!! GO JAGS!
Barbara departed this life on May 9, 2025. She was preceded in death by her son, Richard Williams; brothers, Joseph Gainers and Donald Gainers; parents, Jack Gainers, Jr. and Anree Allen.
Barbara leaves to mourn her precious memories: daughters, Cynthia Johnson (Edgar) and Adrian Samuels (Byron); son, Danny Williams; sister, Alice Wilson (Kenneth); aunt, Claretha Gainers; 13 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; special friend, Rudolph Williams; special cousin, Louvenia Reese; best friends, Diane Warner, Rosalee Samuels and Sheila Harris (Ernest); a host of nieces, nephews, many cousins and sorrowing friends.
