Barbara Gayle Weems – JULY 6, 1942 – SEPT 16, 2025

Gayle quietly passed away silently in her sleep while living at Ridgecrest at Cranberry Woods Senior Care Facility in Cranberry Township, PA, just north of Pittsburgh, PA. She was the oldest daughter of two born to Mr. and Mrs. Westfall of Clovis, NM with the second being Jeanette.

B. Gayle's first years were in Clovis, NM with a population of 20,000 and located just a few miles from the Texas border. Her father worked for the Santa Fe Railroad and her mother worked at the famed Harvey House. They attended church regularly at Disciples of Christ Christian Church.

Gayle's parents divorced and her mother moved to Roswell, NM with her two daughters, where Gayle graduated from Roswell High in 1960. Gayle was active in many school clubs and activities. She had a passion for drawing and sketching and mathematics and science. She went on to New Mexico State University NMSU and graduated in 1964 with a B.S. degree in mathematics. She took a job with a contractor to the Atomic Energy Commission (AEC) in Albuquerque, NM and got her start in computer programing. Subsequently, her employer's branch office closed and she began working for an Engineering consulting firm, first as a computer programmer, then an analyst, and finally as technical manager. She then became consultant for Sandia Labs and various agencies to the Dept of Defense (DOD) all within the Air force Complex. While consulting at Sandia Labs she met and worked with Don Weems an electrical engineer for Sandia Labs in Albuquerque and eventually married Don in December of 1971. Both had Q and Top-Secret Clearances. Ultimately, Gayle formed a very successful consulting company named G2 VanTel, Lmtd and finally sold it in 1991 and retired at 50 years old. Don and Gayle also formed a successful land development company after Don retired and developed property located in the Manzano Mts southeast of Albuquerque. Gayle was stepmother to Don's three sons Dan, Mark, and Steve. Her husband of 20 years passed away in July 1992. Dan passed away in July 1999, both Mark and Steve currently survive her.

Gayle, being close to her younger sister, Jeanette, eventually moved in 2002 to New Wilmington, PA to be closer to her and her brother-in-law, Rick Pisoli. Jeanette met her husband in NM while he was in the military. They married and eventually moved to New Wilmington and raised a family. Rick and Jeanette both passed away in advance of Gayle with surviving two sons, Mike and Sean Rispoli, and daughter Darlenna Poindexter. Gayle really loved landscaping her backyard and was so happy with it.

Currently, there are no plans for a funeral at this time.

Private arrangements were entrusted to Boylan-Glenn-Kildoo Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 130 Wisconsin Ave., Cranberry Twp., PA 16066.
