Barbara Jeanette Williams Davidson broke free of her earthly body and returned home to her Heavenly Father on Saturday, August 30, 2025. As a child, she was baptized at the First Baptist Church in Mullin, TX and remained faithful her whole life.
Barbara's Celebration of Life will be held at Pinnacle Community Church, 7305 S. Coulter Rd at 10:00 am, Saturday, October 18, 2025. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors.
Barbara was a resident of Amarillo for fifty-five years; she worked many of those early years in clothing retail sales, first at Colbert's Department Store in Wolflin Village, and then later at Suzanne's on Georgia Street. She was a member of many Bridge Clubs, playing sometimes three or four times in a week. Barbara learned to play golf as an adult to spend more time with her husband Wayne, and they traveled on the Barbeque Circuit. She made a hole-in-one on #5 at Tascosa Country Club! With friends, Barbara bought and sold antiques, and she owned This Olde House on 6th Street on Old Route 66 in Amarillo. She and several friends remained loyal to their monthly Birthday Club Lunches for over five decades.
Barbara earned her Associate's Degree in Interior Design from Amarillo College, where she met her Young Friends who brought her as much joy as her Seasoned Friends.
Barbara was preceded in death by the love of her life, E. Wayne Davidson, her parents, Chester and Mabel Williams, and her older siblings, Arthur, Edna, Ellen and Margery. Her younger brother Steve Williams lives with his wife Judy near Ft. Worth, TX, and numerous nephews and nieces were special to her.
Barbara is survived by two sons - Randall Davidson and his wife Diane, of Homosassa, FL; and Blane Davidson and his wife Sandra, of Canyon, TX. She has two grandsons - Bradley Davidson and his wife Liliana, of Orlando, FL; and Nicholas Davidson and his wife Kaitlyn, of Canyon. She has one great granddaughter, Lisa, of Orlando. Gramby knew before passing that Kaitlyn is expecting her first great grandson in December, and that Liliana is expecting her second great granddaughter in January. She was a loving mother, mom-in-love and Gramby to her family. We are grateful for all she taught us, for her constant support and for the happy memories. We will never forget.
