Barbara Ann Camp Williams entered into eternal rest December 15, 2025.  Beloved wife of George Williams, Jr. Mother of Michael Williams (Carol) and Sherry W. Johnston (Gregory).  Daughter of the late John Camp, Jr. and Vivian Thibodeaux Camp.  Sister of Jane Doseff (Chris), and the late John Camp, III.  Also survived by nieces and nephews. Age 80 years, a native of New Orleans, and resident of Paradis, LA.

Barbara was a faithful member at Christ our Savior Lutheran Church.

Barbara’s biggest joy was being a homemaker and taking care of her husband and children. She felt like raising her children was the most important job in the world.

From 1982-1986, Barbara was a proud member of the Morgan City High School Band Boosters in Morgan City, LA. When help was needed, she was there with a smile on her face.

The Mardi Gras and St. Patrick’s Day parades brought Barbara a lot of joy. She valued all of the throws she caught from the simplest of beads all the way to the coveted Nyx purses, Muses shoes and Zulu coconuts. She loved it all. She was instrumental in helping to get the Mardi Gras stands for the handicap.

Barbara was an avid sports fan. As a child, she loved playing basketball and volleyball at Our Lady Star of the Sea. She loved watching figure skating, gymnastics, WWE wrestling, football, basketball and baseball. She loved the University of Alabama, Tulane University, the New Orleans Saints, the New England Patriots, and the Philadelphia Eagles. She also loved the Atlanta Braves, the Chicago Bulls, and the Los Angeles Lakers.

Barbara’s physical challenges did not stand in the way of her enjoying life. She loved to travel, especially on cruises to the Caribbean. No matter the time, if there was a party going on, she would be there. She also loved visiting country music meccas like Tennessee.

Barbara loved entertainment including watching her soap operas, game shows, movies and attending a variety of music concerts.

Although Barbara’s physical presence may no longer grace our lives, her spirit will continue to inspire and uplift us. May her memory be a blessing and may we carry forth her legacy of love and compassion in all that we do. As Barbara continues to worship Jesus in Heaven, her light will forever shine brightly in our hearts.

Our deepest thanks go out to the amazing teams at Ochsner Medical Center in Kenner (ICU) and Compassus for showing true compassion and providing exceptional care to Barbara during her final journey. Your unwavering support, kindness, and dedication brought peace and comfort to our entire family during this difficult time. We are forever grateful.

We would also like to thank Pastor Simoneaux at Christ our Savior Lutheran Church for the guidance and counseling he provided to Barbara and her family.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the National Kidney Foundation would be appreciated.
