Robert Lee Gonsoland was born on January

13, 1963, to the proud parents Mr. Geroge

Gonsoland and Mrs. Lillan Dominick

Gonsoland. Robert peacefully transitioned

on February 13, 2026, at the age of 63.

Affectionately known as "Bo" nor "Bo

Pete", Robert loved God and was baptized at

Second Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in

Harvey, LA. His faith was an important part

of his life and helped shape the love he

carried for his family and community. Robert

spent a huge part of his life in Harvey, LA.

Where he had several childhood friends. His

four best friends known as the "4 Horsemen"

The Honorable Judge Lee Faulker, Lawrence

"Black" Hunter, and Anthony "AL" Cooper.

Rober was known for his joyful spirit and his

connection to the culture around him. He

enjoyed riding his bike and second lining

during the festival season. His favorite time

of the year was Mardi Gras season, where he

could be seen at many parades enjoying the

music, community, and celebration. Many

also knew him as " the water man,

" as he sold water at festivals and gatherings, always

bringing energy and friendliness wherever he

went. Robert loved his family deeply.

He was preceded in death by his parents,

Lillan Dominick Gonsoland and George

Gonsoland; his brother, Frank Davis; his

grandparents; and his nephew, Edward

Johnson Jr. He leaves to cherish his memory

by his brother Edward "Butch" Johnson, two

sisters, Debra (Lou) Gannaway, Florence G.

Beauford, and a host of nieces, nephews,

great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great

nieces, great-great nephews, cousins, and

extended family. Robert's Life and Legacy

will continue to live on through the many

lives he touched. He will be deeply missed but

lovingly remembered forever.
