Barbara Ellen Wingfield

Barbara Ellen Wingfield, 72, of Southside, departed this life on Sunday, June 18, 2023.  She was born on June 29, 1950, in Iron Mountain, Michigan,  to James M. Fleenor and Ruth Dever Fleenor.  

She and Wendell Dean Wingfield were married in Fresno, California on January 19, 1976 and together they enjoyed over forty-seven years of marriage.  During her lifetime she was a chef at Lyon College in Batesville.   She was member of Maple Springs Baptist Church in Rosie.

Barbara enjoyed gardening, camping, traveling, and being outdoors.  She will be remembered by her love for her children and grandchildren.  She enjoyed telling people what to do and putting up with Wendell.

She is survived by her husband, Wendell, of the home; son, Jordan Dean Keltner, of Southside; daughters, Sara Wingfield, of Southside, and Naomi Ruth Taylor (Matt), of Bethesda; a brother, Jim Fleenor (Loretta), of New York; sisters, Claudia Roman (Robert), of Hawaii, and Jannell Baptiste, of California; grandchildren, Hayleigh Justice, Zakery Justice (Savannah), Claytynn Hightower, and Joslin Templin, three great grandchildren, Cambri, Gabriel, and Estella; nieces, nephews, and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Paul and Larry Fleenor.

A Memorial Service will be Saturday, June 24, 2023, at 1:00 p.m. at Maple Springs Baptist Church with Bro. Curt Howard officiating.
