Mrs. Barbara Anne Woods, 77, was born on April 18, 1946, in Rutherford County, Tennessee to Robert Thomas Woods Sr. and Elizabeth Johnson at Rutherford Hospital in Murfreesboro TN. She was called to rest on Tuesday, April 2, 2024.
She accepted Christ at Mt. Zion Primitive Baptist Church. She received her education at Holloway High School. Barbara worked at Middle TN Medical Center for many years until she retired.
Barbara enjoyed shopping on QVC, singing and spending time with her longtime friends and classmates.
Barbara was preceded in death by her husband John Woods Sr; son, Rodney Woods; parents, Robert T. Woods Sr. and Elizabeth Johnson; brothers, Robert T. Woods Jr., Jimmy Lee Woods, Gerald Johnson Sr.; and grandparents, Cornelia Howse and Henry Johnson.
Barbara leaves to cherish her memory daughters, Diana Woods and Deborah (Maurice) Wright; sons, John Woods Jr. and Michael Woods; sisters, Bessie (Chester)Porter and Angela Woods; brother, Eddie Woods; special friend, Henry White; eight grandchildren, Daniele (Jay) Ross, Rakesha King, Taylor Woods, Sydnee Wright, Adrian Wright, Savannah Wright, Zachery Wright and Terrell Woods; three great-grandchildren, Jayla and Deontae Ross and devoted great-grandchild, Dayton David; and many other relatives, church family and friends.
