Barbara Wright-Lowe Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Barbola Funeral Chapel - Berlin on Feb. 4, 2026.
Barbara Ann Wright-Lowe, age 66, of Auroraville, died peacefully at home on Monday, November 17, 2025.

She was born August 22, 1959, in Oshkosh, WI, the daughter of Adelbert and Janet Elmer George. Barbara attended Oshkosh West High School. In 1983, she was united in marriage to Jacob H. Wright III in St. Joseph, MO.

Barbara spent most of her life as a devoted caregiver for Kendallwood Hospice in MO, always putting others before herself. She loved karaoke, horses, horseback riding, cookouts and going out to have fun with her friends. Barbara especially enjoyed celebrating her favorite holiday of all, Christmas, with her family. She was strong-willed, stubborn, outspoken and full of personality. Some of her happiest years were spent with the love of her life, her husband, Jacob.

She is survived by her three daughters, Heather (Adam) Weed, Shauna (Justin) Smith and Ashley (Adam) Sizemore; several grandchildren; five great-grandchildren, with two more on the way; one sister, Sandie Sarnoski; and many nieces and nephews, who loved her dearly. Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, Jacob H. Wright III, on November 17, 2015; parents; grandparents, John (Margaret) Elmer; sister, Dawn George; brother, Jay George; and her beloved nephew, Corey Harrington, whom she loved dearly.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to hospice and to her daughter, Ashley, for the care, love and support given to Barbara during her final days. Barbara will be deeply missed and forever loved.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Monday, December 1, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., at Barbola Funeral Chapel in Berlin, with a prayer service at 6:45 p.m. Anyone wishing to send a sympathy card to the family, please mail to Barbara Wright-Lowe, c/o Barbola Funeral Chapel, PO Box 201, Berlin, WI 54923.
