Ronald Louis Beardsley, age 92, formerly of Berlin, died peacefully on Monday, November 10, 2025, at his home in Boone, NC.

He was born October 6, 1933, in Sioux City, IA, the son of Ralph and Meta Froelich Beardsley. Ron was a 1952 graduate of Sioux City East High School, attended Bethany Lutheran Junior College, the University of Missouri, where he received his BA degree and Seward Concordia College in Nebraska, where he received his master's degree. On June 12, 1954, he was united in marriage to Florence Dorr. She preceded him in death on January 15, 2020. Ron was both a Lutheran School Administrator and teacher in the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod.

He is survived by his children, Mark Beardsley, Karen (Mark) Jolley, Rev. Brian (Michelle) Beardsley and Gregg Beardsley; seven grandchildren; Christopher Jolley, Stephen Jolley, Brian Beardsley, Joshua (Brook) Beardsley, Nathan (Nicki) Beardsley, David Beardsley and Aimee (Casey) Ebert; 11 great-grandchildren, Olivia, Conor, Silas, Grayson, Jadyn, Christian, Asher, Wyatt, Elijah, Karis and Adaline; and a granddaughter-in-law, Kass Beardsley. In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by a grandson, Timothy Beardsley; and two brothers, Robert and Richard.

A Celebration of Life gathering will be held on Friday, November 21, at 10:00 a.m., at Appalachian Brian Estates (Ron's residence for the last three years), at 163 Shadowline Drive in Boone, North Carolina. All are invited.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 15, at 11:00 a.m., at St. John Lutheran Church in Berlin, Rev. Brian Beardsley officiating. Interment will be in Oakwood Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10:30 a.m. until the time of the service. Memorials may be directed to Lutheran Hour Ministries. Arrangements have been entrusted to Barbola Funeral Chapel in Berlin.
