Jack D. Beardsley II, 61, of Laketon Township, passed away at Hillcrest Nursing Home in North Muskegon, Michigan, on January 16, 2026, after a short but courageous battle with brain cancer. Jack was a talented auto mechanic for most of his life.
He was born on April 18, 1964, to Nancy Beardsley and Jack Beardsley.
Jack was the life of any gathering. He never met a stranger, and no one was ever safe from conversation when Jack was around - he always had a story to tell or was ready to strike up a meaningful conversation. He was a proud father who loved his children more than anything. Jack had a big heart and loved big, always putting others before himself.
If you were a friend of Jack's, he would do anything for you - he'd give you the shirt off his back without hesitation. For that reason, he was dearly loved by everyone who knew him. You'd often find Jack mowing neighbors' lawns, snowblowing driveways in the winter, helping with projects, or keeping an eye on pets and property while friends were on vacation. Helping others was simply who he was.
Jack enjoyed watching NASCAR and IndyCar racing, as well as riding his eBike. Whether it was racing on TV, a ride around the neighborhood, or a long conversation with a neighbor, Jack found joy in the simple moments of everyday life.
Jack is survived by his son Nick Beardsley; his step-son James Wallor (Sandra Custer); his brother Joe (Sheryl) Beardsley; their son and Jack's nephew, Brandon Beardsley; and his former wife Tracey Bingham, with whom Jack remained close over the years. The family would like to thank Tracey for her part in Jack's cancer battle. She truly was a superstar.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Nancy Beardsley and Jack Beardsley; and his maternal grandparents, Joseph J. Klecka and Zora J. Klecka.
In accordance with Jack's wishes, cremation has taken place, and a Celebration of Life will take place April 18, 2026, from 1pm - 5pm at the Don Rea VFW.
