Randall & Roberts Funeral Center - Westfield Rd.Barbara Jo Young, 91, of Noblesville, passed away on Sunday, December 14, 2025 at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis. She was born on December 21, 1933 to Ralph and Myrtle (Gouge) Hughes in Johnson City, Tennessee.
Barbara worked as a results investigator for AT&T, retiring after 28 years. She enjoyed fishing with her husband of 54 years, Ray Young, as well as cooking and gardening. Her greatest joy was serving large meals to her family and friends.
Barb and Ray became the parents of two fine sons, Gary and Gregory who made them very proud. They were blessed with two grandsons, Alexander and Nicholas, and three great grandchildren, Noah Gregory, Peyton Jean, and Teagan Parker.
She is survived by her son, Gary (Joy) Young and Greg (Leigh) Young; grandchildren, Alexander (Annie) Young and Nicholas Young; three great-grandchildren; sister, Carolyn McGuire; and two nieces, Stacy and Kim (John).
In addition to her parents and one sister, Patsy, Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, Wilson Ray Young.
Visiting hours will be held from 4:00 pm to 5:30 pm, followed by a brief celebration of life on Friday, March 6, 2026 at Randall & Roberts Funeral Center, 1685 Westfield Road, in Noblesville.
