Barry Bailey

HIAWATHA - Barry Ray Bailey, 77, from Hiawatha, passed away January 5, 2026 at WVU Princeton Community Hospital. Born April 12, 1948, in Beartown, he was the son of the late Howard and Faye Bailey.

In his younger years, he was a cable puller for a logging company. He then worked in the mines and drove a truck. He retired from Appalachian Aggregates Pounding Mill in Princeton, WV.

Barry loved hunting and fishing. He had so many friends. He was loved by everyone.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Patricia Weise Bailey; and one brother, Jerry Bailey.

Those left to cherish his memory include two sons, Howard Bailey and wife Betty of Kegley, and Kevin Bailey of Bluefield; two daughters, Sheila Osborne and husband Darrell of Ronceverte; and Sharon Soucy of Hiawatha; and a host of grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life will be held 1:00 p.m.at Saturday, January 10, 2026 at Bailey-Kirk Funeral Home in Princeton with Pastor Kelly Lyle, officiating. The family will receive visitors from 12:00 p.m. until the service hour. Burial will follow at the Weise Family Cemetery in Hiawatha.
