MATOAKA – Sandra Dee Odle, 64, of Matoaka, formerly of Bartley, WV, went to her heavenly home on Friday, January 16, 2026. Born May 2, 1961, in Welch, she was the daughter of the late Mary Puckett McClanahan and the late Everett McClanahan.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving and devoted husband of twenty years, Lawrence Odle; the father of her children, Jerry Golden; her best friend and sister, Janice "Yvonne" Evans and her late husband William "Boggie" Evans; and three brothers, Norman McClanahan, James Everett "J.R." McClanahan, and William Lawrence McClanahan.

Sandy leaves behind one sister, Rose (Jim) Lester of VA; four children, Patricia (Trish) Golden and companion Adrian Johnson of Bluefield, VA, Jerry "Kevin" Golden and former daughter in law, Jennifer Finney, both of Pineville, Carrie Asbury and husband TJ of Tazewell, VA, and Angela Justice and companion Junior Yates of Bartley, WV; three step-children, Kathy Smith, Buddy Odle and Polly, and Randy Odle of Matoaka; who she loved dearly; grandchildren, Dakota Miller of Bluefield, Shyann Dunn and husband Alex of Yukon, Jayden and Colton Roberts of Bluefield, Dylan and Kaileigh Golden of Pineville, Everleigh Asbury of Tazewell; two great-grandchildren, Kinsley Miller and Axel Dunn; three step-grandchildren, Jason Odle and companion Callie of Princeton, Brandon Odle and companion Ashley of Rock; Sierra Smith, and Cody Smith, step great-grandchildren, Colson Odle and Tori Odle; a host of sisters-in laws, brothers-in laws, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Sandy believed her family was her greatest treasure. She enjoyed spending time with them and being present in every moment. She was the best Wife, the best Mommy, the best Nana, and the best Sissy. She was also the best Aunt Sandy and best friend to so many. She had many titles and she earned all of them through the endless love she gave to everyone she met. She had a heart that knew no limits.

Memorial Service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, January 23, 2026 at Bailey-Kirk Funeral Home in Princeton with Rev. Carson Gray, officiating. The family will receive visitors from 6:00 p.m. until the service hour.
