Shirley Bailey

BLUEFIELD – Shirley Maxine Bailey, 88, of Bluefield, formerly of Matoaka, passed away Tuesday, February 10, 2026. Born July 24, 1937, in Lamar, she was the daughter of the late Drewey Graham and Ivory Roberts Graham.

Shirley was a Christian and a member of Cumberland Heights Baptist Church. She worked at Maidenform until it's closing. She then attended Little French Beauty Academy in Bluefield and operated her own beauty shop in Matoaka for over 10 years. She enjoyed her retirement; especially spending time with her great-grandsons. She was always a dog lover and cherished her time with "Daisy", her copper nosed beagle. She was a seamstress and was a wonderful cook.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Charles Bailey; and brother, Buddy E. Graham, Sr.

Those left to cherish her memory include her son, Gary Bailey and wife Tammy of Princeton; grandson, Gary Bailey, Jr. and wife Kristy of Princeton, two great-grandsons, Owen Bailey, and Wyatt Bailey, both of Princeton; brother, Mason Graham of Beartown; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, February 13, 2026 at Bailey-Kirk Funeral Home in Princeton with Pastor Jim Kestner, officiating. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton at a later date.

The family will receive visitors from 1:00 p.m. until the service hour.
