John Hagy

LAWRENCEVILLE, GA – John Henry Hagy, 89, of Lawrenceville, GA, formerly of Princeton, WV, went to be with the Lord on January 19, 2026. Born August 17, 1936, in Gary, WV, he was the son of the late Henry Hagy and Georgia Stone Hagy.

A devoted Christan, Mr. Hagy honorably served his country as a veteran of the United States Air Force. Following his military service, he enjoyed a successful career as a salesman and later as a Walmart greeter. He was known for his unwavering faith, deep love for his family and friends, and his enthusiasm for the Green Bay Packers.

Mr. Hagy is survived by his beloved wife of 49 years, Mary Frances Hamm Lovell Hagy. He leaves behind his children, John Hagy Jr. and spouse Mary of Nebraska, James Hagy of Wisconsin, Dorothy Hackbarth and spouse Jim of Wisconsin, Dawn Nushart of Wisconsin, Randy Lovell and spouse Carlett of Arizona, Ricky Lovell and spouse Angie of Georgia, and Jimmy Hagy. He is also fondly remembered by 16 grandchildren, and 16 great-grandchildren.

A Committal Service will be held in honor of Mr. Hagy at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, January 26, 2026 at Bailey-Kirk Funeral Home in Princeton. Military Honors will be conducted by the Mercer County Veterans Honor Guard. Burial will be at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in his memory to the Disabled American Veterans or other veteran organizations.
