Barry Thomas Bundy

Barry Thomas Bundy, a beloved husband, brother, uncle, and friend, passed away on October 4, 2023, at McLaren Port Huron Hospital. Born on December 23, 1942, in Port Huron, Michigan, to the late Bertrand and Evelyn (Elliott) Bundy, Barry lived a life full of love, service, and music.
Barry is survived by his devoted wife, Donna Bundy, whom he married on September 19, 1981, in North Street Methodist Church. Their love story was one of mutual respect, shared laughter, and enduring companionship. Barry is also survived by his brother, William (Diane) Bundy of Port Huron, and his sister, Sharon (Dennis) Zielinski of Ypsilanti. He was a cherished uncle to his two nephews, Richard and David, whom he always supported and encouraged.
Barry's dedication to his community was evident in his work history. He served in the Army Reserves for six years, a testament to his commitment to his country. Following his military service, Barry became a familiar and reassuring presence in his community as a crossing guard for the Port Huron Police Department for 20 years. His friendly and gentle nature made him a favorite among the children and parents alike.
Music was a significant part of Barry's life. For over 40 years, he played in a band, sharing his love for music with others. His thoughtful nature shone through in his music, and he was known for his ability to touch people's hearts with his performances. Barry's love for music was only matched by his love for his friends. He was a regular at Tim Hortons, where he enjoyed visiting with his friends and sharing stories over a cup of coffee.
Barry was a man of many qualities, but he will be best remembered for his friendly demeanor, his thoughtful nature, and his gentle spirit. He had a way of making everyone feel welcome and valued, and his presence always brought a sense of calm and comfort.
