Barry Kent "Bear" Caldwell

June 15, 1949 – December 1, 2025

Barry Kent Caldwell, lovingly known as "Bear," passed away on December 1, 2025, surrounded by the people who meant the most to him. Born on June 15, 1949, in Clifton, Kansas, to Marjorie "Margie" and George Caldwell, Barry spent much of his life in the Mini-Cassia area, a community he dearly loved and proudly called home.

Barry was preceded in death by his parents, Margie and George, and his siblings Tony, Allen, and Donna.

He is survived by his three daughters, Amber (Scott), Ashley, and McKenzie (Kyle)-as well as six cherished grandchildren: Riley, Silas, Brixtyn, Karston, Paislynn, and Sawyer, each of whom brought immense joy and pride into his life.

Bear was known for his generous heart, quick wit, and the laughter he brought wherever he went. He cared deeply for his community and worked hard his entire life, always encouraging others to grow, improve, and show up as their best selves. His dedication, warmth, and steady presence touched countless lives.

Though he is no longer with us, Barry leaves behind a legacy woven with love, humor, resilience, and stories that his family and friends will forever treasure. His spirit will continue to live on in the memories and hearts of those who knew and loved him.

Gatherings for family and friends will be held from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Saturday December 6, 2025, at Hansen Mortuary, and 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Melody Bar in Rupert. He will be laid to rest at the Rupert Cemetery at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Joel Heward Hansen Mortuary.
