BARRY CRAWSHAW

Barry Sheldon Crawshaw, 85, died peacefully on September 17, 2023, in Hendersonville, North Carolina. Barry married Sonya Adell Hansen in 1960 and they had two children, Victoria and Kenneth. After the passing of Sonya, he married Pauline Scully in 2006 and moved to North Carolina, where she was lovingly at his side until his death. Barry resided in Hanover Park and was active in community service for over 40 years. He was highly involved in local politics and the Hanover Park Lions Club and taught his children the importance of giving back. Barry had a lengthy career in information systems and later became an avid Apple user, involved in The Northwest of Us user's group. Barry is remembered as a clever handyman who could fix just about anything by "Barry-rigging" them. He had a wry sense of humor; on friends' 40th birthdays, he gave them an electric banana, the utility of which was known only to Barry. In addition to his wife and children, he is survived by granddaughter, Macy Adell Crawshaw. The family requests donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association in his honor.
