Barry Alan Fulford

Barry Alan Fulford, age 74, of Ligonier, passed away on Thursday, August 21, 2025 at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne. He was born on May 3, 1951 to Paul and Virginia (Carpenter) Fulford in Goshen, Indiana. He married Vonzeal Sanford on March 3, 2012 in Honeyville, Indiana.

Barry is survived by his wife, Vonzeal Fulford of Ligonier; children, Jason (BillieJo) Fulford of Kendallville, Caitlin (Daniel) Ray of Millersburg, Anna (Mike) Sheets of Fort Wayne; 10 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; brother, Terry (Susan) Fulford of North Webster and sister, Cyndi Yoder of Goshen. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother-in-law, Keith Yoder.

Barry proudly served in the U.S. Army. He was a very giving and selfless person. He loved Genealogy and most of all, his grandchildren.

A gathering of family and friends will take place from 4-6pm on Tuesday, August 26, 2025 at Yeager Funeral Home, 1589 Lincolnway South, Ligonier, Indiana 46767. A service to commemorate the life of Barry will follow the visitation at 6pm. Cremation will follow the service. A military graveside service will take place in Cosperville Cemetery at a later date.

Memorial contributions can be made to family to sponsor Elkhart Township with contributions to go toward a memorial brick with his name placed on the grounds where the Wawaka school was, any other proceeds left will go to the Elkhart Township Hall.
