Barry Allan Handleman

Barry Allan Handleman, 84, of Murrells Inlet, SC, passed away with his family by his side on Tuesday, January 28, 2025, at his residence. He was born September 14, 1940, in Baltimore, Maryland, the son of the late Samuel Handleman and Jean Hess Handleman.
Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Patricia "Patt" Handleman, of Murrells Inlet, SC; his brother, Brian Handleman and wife, Gail, of Bradenton, Florida; two children, Kimberly Newton and husband, Rich, of Concord, NC, and Craig Handleman and wife, Holly, of Oceanside, NY; four grandchildren, Ash and wife, Jayce, Tyler, Brayden, and Karley; as well as a daughter from a previous marriage, Dana Wootton and husband, Jim, of Glen Burnie, Maryland; two grandchildren, Jaime and her husband, Eric, and Paige and her husband, Michael; and great-grandchildren, Theodora and Michael.
Barry enjoyed spending time watching TV, golfing, cooking, playing bridge, listening to oldies music, and watching classic movies and westerns. He also loved anything Disney and especially cherished Christmas time. Above all, he valued spending time with his family and friends.
The family welcomes you to join them for a celebration of Barry's life, which will be held at the family residence on Saturday, February 8, 2025, at 12:00 p.m., with military honors. Refreshments and a light lunch will be served.
