Barry O'Neil Huff was born in Creston, Iowa on July 30, 1949, to Carter and Shirley Huff. He attended and graduated from High School in Mount Ayr, Iowa in 1967. He enlisted in the Navy and was stationed in California and various ports of the Pacific.
He married Carla Russell, and had 2 children, Lori and Kevin in Washington state. He returned to Iowa after his divorce. Barry met Jaqueline Poppe in Marshalltown, at the Iowa Veteran's home. They married in 2002. In 2019, they moved to Mason City.
Most recently, Barry and Jaci have been residents of Titonka Care Center. Barry passed away on Thursday, January 16, 2025, at Kossuth Regional Health Center after a short illness. He was 75.
He is survived by his wife Jacqueline Huff, of Titonka; two sisters and a brother, Kim Haaf of Lynden, WA; David Huff of Marion; and Contessa LeMense, of Cedar Rapids; a brother-in-law, Jeff Poppe of Mason City, a sister-in-law, Jan Johansen of Milwaukie, OR; his two children and Jaci's two children; and one grandson. He was preceded in death by his parents.
A memorial service was held on January 25, 2025, at the Titonka Care Center.
