Barry Lentz Obituary
He was born on July 4th, 1944, to the late Harold Lentz and Ruth Brandon Lentz in Norfolk, Virginia. Barry graduated from Boyden High School in Salisbury, and attended the University of North Carolina. He later served in the United States Air Force. He was stationed in Germany, where he met and married the love of his life, Karin Rohkramer Lentz. They resided in Salisbury, North Carolina, and had two children, Dennis and Stephanie. Barry worked in Salisbury as the Senior Vice President of F & M Bank. Once he retired, they relocated to Marathon, Florida. Barry and Karin subsequently visited Sebastian, Florida, and decided to make their home there.
Barry enjoyed reading, traveling, watching UNC sports, and helping the less fortunate. Barry was a very loving spouse and father, and his family will miss him greatly.
Barry was preceded in death by his son, Dennis Lentz. He is survived by his wife, Karin Lentz, and his daughter Stephanie Lentz, both of Sebastian. Barry has two sisters, Pam Lentz Gregor and Terry Lentz Fry, and many other family members who loved him.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to the St. Jude's Children's Research
