Barry James Lockard, 65, passed away Monday, July 7, 2025.
Barry was born to the late Judith (Hardaway) and James "Buck" Lockard in Louisville, KY. He was a retired pipefitter and proud member of UA Local 502 Plumbers, Pipefitters, and Service Technicians.
Barry was an avid golfer and bowler, and he loved all UofL sports. His hobbies included woodworking, racing RC cars, and building model cars. He was known for his craftsmanship, competitive spirit, and unwavering love for his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Barry is survived by his beloved wife and best friend of 44 years, Brenda (Stoner) Lockard; children, Brittany Owens (Steve), and Bryan Lockard (Madison); sister, Becky Lockard; and his cherished grandchildren, Lucas and Ruby Owens, and Maddux and Fallon Lockard.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 12, 2025, at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Highway.
Visitation will be from 2:00–8:00 p.m. on Friday at Owen Funeral Home.
