Barry E. March

Barry E. March, 78, of Downingtown, passed away on Saturday, January 3, 2026 at Paoli Hospital. He was the husband of Margaret "Peggy" (Roethe) March, sharing 52 years of marriage.

Born in Phoenixville on December 10, 1947, he was the son of the late Earl and Viola (Halberstadt) March. Barry graduated from Downingtown High School with the class of 1965, and he served in the United States Navy. He went on to work for several companies as a heavy metal specialist. He was a member of the American Legion, and was a civil war enthusiast. He always kept busy working around the house, and most of all, he enjoyed the art of landscaping and spending time in the lush gardens he created in his backyard.

Surviving in addition to his wife Peggy are his daughters Amanda Ryan, wife of Matthew, of Coatesville, PA and Lauren March of Downingtown; and his granddaughter Natalie Ryan.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, January 8, 2026 at 11:30 AM at St. Peter's Lutheran Church Cemetery, 1239 Clover Mill Road, Chester Springs, PA 19425.

Donations may be made in Barry's memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
