Barry Lamont Moore passed away on Wednesday August 6th, 2025 at Johnson City Medical Center at the age of 48. Barry was a 1995 graduate of Greeneville High School where he played on the football and wrestling team. He was a member of Tate Chapel United Methodist Church where he attended faithfully as his health permitted. Barry loved his church family. Barry is survived by his loving mother Valerie Moore; his father William Barner; a loving and devoted sister Dea Moore and fiance Marcus Cameron; brothers Dustin (Christy), Elliott, Mark and Josh; sister Sarah (Michael); a special niece and caregiver Dierra Moore; 15 other nieces and nephews that were special to him; three aunts Annette White. Brenda Anderson (Willie), Kemma Moore (Jesse Wells); two uncles Eric Moore (Pam Lane), Zachary Moore; a special great aunt Emma Perkins; and many other family members and friends that were special to him. He was preceded in death by his grandmother Mary R. Moore and many other special family members. Barry touched so many lives. He will be missed by his family and friends. The family would like to thank Dr. Josh Stone and staff and Gentiva Hospice for their loving care to Barry. The family will receive friends Sunday, August 10th from 2-3pm at Jeffers Funeral Home downtown location. Services will follow at 3pm in the Jeffers Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. C.C. Mills Jr. officiating and graveside service to follow at Wesley Cemetery.
