BARRY A. RONNINGEN
Barry A. Ronningen, 78, Cooperstown, ND died Sunday, November 24, 2024 in the Dakota Regional Medical Center, Cooperstown, ND.
Barry was born November 19, 1946 in Sharon, ND the son of Frances (Pete) and Phyllis (Larson) Ronningen. He started school in the County School, then finished his education in Cooperstown, Other than 6 months in Hannaford he lived and worked on the family farm. He farmed and was a cattleman.
He married Donna Hunsberger June 30, 1967. The couple had 3 daughters Rhonda (Cory) Hoyt, Tami Kensok, Annette (Chris) Lunde. Beside his wife and daughters his loves were his grandchildren, Jessica (Trevor) Yagow, Jacee (Cole) Gerntholz, Jaden (Cade Piatz) Lunde, Allison (Klint Knudson) Kinsok, Logan (Casey Bellemare) Kensok, Alaina Kensok and then blessed six great grandchildren; sister, Judy Ronningen (Henry) Zimprich; sisters-in- law, Darlene (Omar) Abraham, Dianne Jones, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Preceded in death by his parents, daughter and son-in-law Rhonda and Cory, brother, Les.
He had a love for the outdoors and wildlife. A lifetime member of the NRA and wildlife clubs. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, prairie dog hunting and watching birds and feeding them.
As his wishes he did not want a funeral. A Private Family Service will be in the spring on the Family Farm.
