Barry L. Simonson, 68, of Central Lake, passed away on January 26, 2024 at Munson Medical Center.
He was born on September 7, 1955, in Goodrich, MI, the son of Thomas and Hazel (McDowell) Simonson.
Barry was a resident of Central Lake most of his life and enjoyed woodworking, hunting and gardening.
Surviving are 3 children, Thomas (Kharna) Simonson of North Muskegon, Stephanie Gibson of Central Lake, Shane Simonson of Central Lake, significant other Anna Simonson of Central Lake, 4 grandchildren, Kylie Simonson, Katie Simonson, Jaqualtress "Jaque" Gibson, Jaquenji "JJ" Gibson, 5 siblings, Mary Krahn of FL, Earl Simonson of Central Lake, Linda Mead of Central Lake, Gayle Hudson of Flowery Branch, GA, James VerBeek of East Jordan and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and 5 siblings, Shirley Rogers, twins, Calvin and Alvin Simonson, Leonard Simonson and Cheryl Shipp.
Funeral services will be on Thursday, February 1, 2024 at 12 noon at the Central Lake Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes with visitation from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Central Lake Food Pantry, Good Samaritan or to the family.
Arrangements are in the care of the Central Lake Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes.
