Barry Eugene Young

Barry Eugene Young, of Lexington, born August 11, 1956, to the late Walter Douglas Young, Sr. and Anna Mae Taylor passed away peacefully December 2, 2025, with home Hospice.
Barry worked as a business owner and limousine driver. Barry was best known for his love of horses and slot machines. He found great joy in the thrill of the race, from Kentucky to Las Vegas. These pastimes, filled with friendship, excitement, and anticipation, were amongst his fondest.
Barry is survived by long-time partner, Susie Grensing, daughters Brittany Young Melton (Ken) and Courtney Campbell, and beloved half siblings, Glen "Kevin" Young, Ronnie Newby, and Teresa Howell, stepmother, Louise Young, a sister-in-law, several nieces, a nephew, and two grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his loving brothers, Walter Douglas Young, Jr., Raymond Porter Young, Steven Louis Young, Anthony Wayne Howell, and Ernest "Boog" Young.
His visitation will be Sunday, December 7, 2025, from 4pm to 7pm at Kerr Brothers – Harrodsburg Road. Services will be held at 2pm Monday, December 8, 2025, with interment to immediately follow at The Lexington Cemetery.
