BART R. ARENDS
Bart R. Arends, 73, Sturgeon, MO passed away Wednesday, November 26, 2025, at Monroe Manor in Paris, MO. He was born November 15, 1952, in Mullen, NE the son of the late Amos and Marjory (Jackson) Arends. On January 29, 1971, he was united in marriage to Martha (Long) Arends, who preceded him in death on March 26, 2025.
He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by two daughters Marla Mills and her husband Andy of Moberly, MO and Tracy Jesse and her husband Robert of Sturgeon, MO; two brothers Zane Arends and his wife Linda of Sturgeon, MO and Boyd Arends and his wife Joy of Sturgeon, MO; one sister Judy Murray and her husband Ron of Harrisburg, MO; three grandchildren Will Mills and his wife Kasey, Allie DeMay and her husband David and Austin Asher and his wife RaJena; five great grandchildren Rylie, Ava, Makynlee, Ben and Olivia; several nieces and nephews; other relatives and many dear friends. In addition to his parents, and wife, his brother Gary Arends preceded him in death.
Bart served his country in the National Guard. He first worked as the Chief Of Police in Sturgeon, MO, later for the City of Sturgeon and he retired from Joe Machens Ford in Columbia, MO after many years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, woodworking and visiting with his friends and family on his golf cart.
A celebration of life will be 11:00 am Saturday, December 6, 2025, at the Oliver Funeral Home in Sturgeon, MO. Interment will be in the Mt. Horeb Cemetery in Sturgeon, MO. Visitation will be from 9:00 am till service time on Saturday, December 6, 2025, at the Oliver Funeral Home in Sturgeon, MO. Memorial contributions may be made to the City Of Sturgeon (For Mt.
