HELEN PATRICIA (SPRADLING) CURNUTTE

Helen Patricia (Spradling) Curnutte, 88, Columbia, MO known by her family and friends as “Pat”, passed away Tuesday, November 4, 2025, at her home surrounded by her family. She was born December 23, 1936, in Ashland, KY, the daughter of the late Herbert and Nola (Johnson) Spradling. She graduated high school in 1955 in the Honor Society. She took several management courses at the University of Tennessee. On September 24, 1955, in Wayne, WV she married her high school sweetheart, Robert L. “Bob” Curnutte, Sr. who preceded her in death on January 14, 2024.

They were blessed with two children, Cynthia Neff and her husband Steve of Columbia, MO and Robert L. Curnutte, Jr. of Columbia, MO; one; two grandchildren Meagan Lee Pruett and her husband Andrew and Mason E. Neff and his wife Amanda; two great grandchildren Leah Louise Neff and Nora Patricia Neff; other relatives and many dear friends.

Pat was a Kindergarten Teacher and Administrator of two Adult Care Homes. She later became a property manager in Columbia, MO. She loved gourmet cooking, reading, family trips and writing poetry.

A celebration of life will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, November 15, 2025, at the Oliver Funeral Home in Sturgeon, MO. Interment will be in the Mt. Pisgah Cemetery near Sturgeon, MO. Visitation will be from 12:00 p.m. to service time on Saturday, November 15, 2025, at the Oliver Funeral Home in Sturgeon, MO. Memorial contributions may be made to Mt.
