Bartolo Alvarez Obituary
Obituary published on Legacy.com by Felix H. Morales Funeral Home - Central on Oct. 27, 2021.
Our lives changed forever on October 19, 2021 at 8:55 am. We lost a great son, beloved husband, loving father, uncle, US Marine, a brother knight, friend and son of Christ.
Born on November 20, 1969 the proud parents Bartolo Alvarez Sr.(†) and Socorro Alvarez. He was a caring brother/brother-in-law to Maria Del Carmen, Miguel (Nancy), Juan (Jacqueline) and Esmeralda. Beloved husband to his high school sweetheart Veronica and father to Bartolo III and Selena. He was a uncle to David Jr., Alexander, Nehemiah, Gabriel, Marisa, Isabella, Ariana, Mia-Celeste, Genesis and Gael.
His passion was collecting knives, coolers and speakers but most of all he loved to BBQ while listening to his Tejano music. He was devoted to his church (Holy Name Catholic Church) and his country (US Marine) It never failed he always wore something to show Marine pride. Bartolo became a veteran of foreign wars after serving in Operation Dessert Storm. And even though he was the family grouch still loved and will now be tremendously missed. He loved his family, our get-togethers, family dinners and game nights.
What he was beginning to enjoy the most was the alone time he was having with his wife (Sunshine) since they were soon going to be empty nesters. Now Veronica has lost her best friend, Waffle House partner, Traders Village buddy and life long love.
Bartolo is preceded in death by his Father, Bartolo R. Alvarez, Paternal Grandmother, Maria R. Alvarez, Maternal Grandmother, Josefa "Anita" Avila, Grandmother, Inez Charles Mack, Great-Grandmother, Lola Washington Johnson, Grandfather, Earl Jean Mack.
