Barton Risser Obituary
Born Wednesday, May 16, 1979, in Waynesboro, PA, he was the son of Twila Grace (Heatwole) Risser and the late Robert Lee Risser.
Barton was an active member at Mt. Olive Mennonite Church. He was employed with Sign Here for 20 years and more recently with Anytime Electric for 10 1/2 years. Barton enjoyed fishing and boating, snow skiing, and traveling. He was a family man and loved spending time with his family and playing board games together. He treasured his Sunday afternoon drives with his wife.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife of 23 years, Amy Risser; sons, Fredrick (Megan) Risser, and Blake Risser; daughters, Jodie and Ginger Risser; brothers, Sheldon D. (Anita) Risser, Dennis E. (Naomi) Risser, Lyndon B. (Sharon) Risser, Eric L. Risser; sisters, Sheryl (Greg) Sensenig, and Heidi S. (Derick) Martin.
Along with his father, Barton is also preceded in death by his brother, Barry Risser, and sister-in-law, Gwen Risser.
Services will be held Monday, December 22, 2025, at 10:00 am, at the Horizon Mennonite School, 17000 Vision Way, Hagerstown, MD 21740.
Family will receive friends at the Horizon Mennonite School, Sunday, December 21, 2025, 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm & 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm.
Interment will be at the Mt. Olive Mennonite Church Cemetery, Maugansville, MD.
