Beatrice “Sue” Boswell, age 81, of Glenwood, went to be with her Lord and Savior on January 4, 2023.
Sue was born on November 20, 1941, in Catlett, Virginia. She was the daughter of Grover Cleveland Stewart and Ollie Belle Green Stewart. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Boswell; her parents; her daughter, Tammy Boswell; her two brothers, Sonny Stewart and Pete Stewart; and her sister Ina Ray Johnson.
Sue married the love of her life of 57 years, Donald Boswell on March 18, 1962. She was a very dedicated member of Morgan Street Baptist Church in Peoria, Illinois until she and Donald retired and moved their membership to Second Baptist Church in Amity. Sue did the bookkeeping for each church for many years, loving to serve her Lord and her church. She graduated from Glenwood High School. Sue was a bus driver for Central Grade School in Washington, Illinois. She loved decorating cakes, cooking sewing, and most of all spending time and spoiling her grandchildren. Sue will be deeply missed by all that knew and loved her.
She is survived by her two daughters and their husbands, Kathy and Bert Entrican of Glenwood, and Susan and Phillip Baker of Cape Coral, Florida; her grandchildren and their spouses, Matthew and Melissa, David, Ron, Barbara and Chris, and Melissa; two great-granddaughters; her sister, Diane Kincaid of Luther, Oklahoma; her brother, William Stewart of Glenwood; and many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and a host of wonderful friends.
The family will be hosting a Memorial Service on Saturday, January 7, 2023, at 5:00 PM at the Second Baptist Church in Amity with Bro. Jimmy Forsythe Officiating.
The family will be holding a burial at a later date at the Glendale Cemetery in Washington, Illinois.
Cremation Arrangements are under the direction of Smith Family Funeral Home, 209 North 3rd Street, Glenwood.
