Beatrice L. Despres

STURBRIDGE: Beatrice L. Despres (June 1st, 1937- July 2nd, 2024), grew up in Southbridge, MA before moving to North Tonawanda 15 years ago. Beatrice (Bea) was a person who loved spending time with her friends and her family. When she was not surrounded by her loved ones, you could find her at Bingo night, working on her puzzles or enjoying her yard sales.

Bea's memory will continue to live on through the hearts of her friends, family, and those who had the privilege of knowing her. Continuing in her legacy, she leaves behind her children, her daughter and devoted caretaker Linda Chenier (Despres) and her husband Peter Chenier of N. Tonawanda, NY Michael Despres of Webster, and Kevin Despres and his wife Mary Despres of Southbridge. Bea also leaves behind her brother, Donald Bernard of Southbridge and her sister, Pauline Girard of Arizona, along with her greatest joys in life, 7 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.

 As she begins her next journey in life, her loved ones feel comfort in knowing that she is no longer suffering and is returning to the arms of the lord and being reunited with her soulmate/husband, Joseph Vic Leo Despres (1937-2013), and her daughter Patricia Robidoux (1960-2023), and her parents.

 Bea would not want you to feel sadness for her departure but to celebrate the life she lived and the memories that remain in the hearts of those she loved.

 Beatrice’s funeral will be held on Wednesday, July 17th from the Belanger-Bullard Funeral Home, 51 Marcy St. Southbridge, followed with a Mass at 10AM in St. Anne’s/ St. Patrick’s Church, 16 Church St. Fiskdale section of Sturbridge. Burial will follow in St. Anne’s Cemetery, Arnold Rd. Sturbridge.

If you are planning to be part of the funeral procession, to the church, please be at the funeral home between 8:45 and 9:15 AM.
