Beatrice “Bea” Geneal (Curbow) McNeece, 89, of Odessa, Missouri passed away Monday, August 11, 2025, at her residence surrounded by her loving family.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Friday, August 15, 2025, at the Ralph O. Jones Funeral Home, 306 S. 2nd St., Odessa, MO, 64076, 816-633-5524. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, August 16, 2025, at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Odessa Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the American Heart Association. Bea was born on January 8, 1936, in Stone County, MO to Thearl “Red” and Lela L. (Mitchell) Curbow. She graduated in 1954 from Hurley High School in Hurley, MO. Bea was united in marriage on November 21, 1969, to Robert “Bob” Forest McNeece in Odessa, MO. He preceded her in death on April 5, 2025. Bea retired after 30 plus years from AT&T as a Customer Service Engineering Associate. She was a devoted mother and grandmother. In her younger years she was a Cub Scout Leader to her sons and neighborhood kids. In addition to spending time with family and friends, Bea was an avid reader, enjoyed dancing, and snowbirding in Texas.

Bea is survived by four children, Brenda Crawford of Odessa, MO, David Barker of Odessa, MO, Wayne McNeece of Odessa, MO and Lori Nelson of Blue Springs, MO; 12 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild; and many relatives and friends.

Bea was preceded in death by both her parents; her loving husband; three children, Greg Barker, William "Billy" McNeece, and Robert "Bobby" F. McNeece, II; and a granddaughter, Casi Lee Barker; and sister, Bernice Ottendorf.
