Beatrice "Bea" Newton

Frankfort – Beatrice "Bea" Kay Wright Newton, age 73, passed away at home on Saturday, March 28, 2026. Services will be held at Harrod Brothers Funeral Home on Thursday, April 2, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Josh Rayborn officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be at Harrod Brothers Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 1, 2026.

Bea was born in Stamping Ground, Kentucky on September 13, 1952, to the late Taylor Wright and Irene Isabell Cook Wright. She retired from Frankfort Regional Medical Center as a registered nurse after 34 years.

She is survived by her life partner of 40 years, Joan Kivior; son, Archie Newton (Lori); daughters, Pamela Newton (Sally) and Leann Newton; brother, Lewis Wright; grandchildren, Christopher, Andrew, Leslie, Morgan, CariAnne, Isabella, Micah, and Wade; and by five great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandson, Eric Taylor; and by three sisters and one brother.

Serving as pallbearers will be Chris Young, Andrew Wilson, Wade Newton, Tyler Grimes, Greg Grimes, and Jonathan Grimes.

In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to the Franklin County Humane Society.
