Becky Elizabeth Atkinson, 62, passed away September 3, 2023, in Fort Worth, Texas.
Becky was born in Fort Worth, Texas and had a life-long love of horses. In 1970, she moved with her mom and sisters to Florida where she graduated from Rockledge High School. There she served on student government, the prom court, and played the flute in the marching band. Graduating from Brevard Community College, she went back to Texas and pursued a degree in Horse Management and Production at Tarleton State University. She was proud of her work in the CEO’s office at Burlington-Northern Railroad and with her work with the Van Cliburn Foundation, but she was happiest in her work with horses at stables in Texas and Florida.
Becky was a mom and grandmother who loved her family. She was also an artist in oil painting and beaded jewelry. Becky never met a person she didn’t try to befriend and will best be remembered for her sharp humor and big smile. She is survived by many family members and friends who will always love and miss her.
Becky is preceded in death by her grandparents.

Inurnment will take place in St. Peter’s Church Memorial Garden in Fernandina Beach, Florida later.
