Becky Sue Dever, 82, of
Aubrey, TX, passed away Sunday, November 23, 2025. Becky was born July 18, 1943, to Raymond Willet Wickham and Geraldine Katherine Davis.
A devoted Women's Health Care Nurse Practitioner, Becky was a true example of love, passion, and unwavering dedication.
In her early 50s, Becky returned to school and earned her practitioner's license, an achievement that filled her heart with pride. Over her remarkable 46-year nursing career, she dedicated 13 years to the Brazos Maternal Child Health Clinic in Bryan, TX, and spent her final four years alongside Dr. Greggs, an esteemed OBGYN in Dallas, TX, before retiring.
Becky was not only committed to her professional life, but also to her community and family. She was an active member of the First United Methodist Church in The Colony, TX, where she sang in their choir. Her passion for family being the core of Becky's existence, she especially cherished her role as a grandmother. Her grandchildren were a source of immense pride and joy.
In her leisure, Becky's creativity and interests were endless. While her heart and mind really shined in writing and poetry, her hands crafted beautiful cross-stitch and crochet pieces, she played piano and the organ, and loved to bake.
A puzzle enthusiast and avid reader, she spent countless hours tackling challenges and devouring books from her favorite authors, like Agatha Christie, Dick Francis, and Neil deGrasse Tyson.
Becky had a deep appreciation for the beauty of life. She loved Hawaii, horse racing, collecting teapots, planting flowers every spring, and anything and everything that involved her family. In her collection of writing, she talks about the times she held each one of her grandchildren. She talks about the laughs, and the hugs, and all adoration she had– and how she felt so uniquely blessed because of them.
Becky leaves a profound emptiness in the hearts of all who knew her. In remembering Becky, we celebrate a life lived fully and remember the impact she had on those around her.
Becky is survived by her daughter, Jenny Hundt and husband Michael of
Aubrey, TX; sons, Chris Dever and wife Sarah of Kapalua, Maui, and Dan Dever of Dallas, TX; Ex-Husband, Daniel Dever of Sadler, TX; and three grandchildren, Michael Winn, Madalyn Hundt, and Matthew Hundt.
Becky was preceded in death by her brother, Raymond Todd Wickham, and parents, Raymond and Geraldine Wickham.
A memorial service will be held at 4:00 PM, Friday, December 12, 2025, at Slay Memorial Chapel in
