Becky Marie Guy

After a courageous battle with cancer, Becky Marie Guy, 52, of O'Fallon, IL, born on October 8, 1972, in Bloomington, IL, passed away on January 17, 2025, in her home surrounded by her family.
Becky was a former project planner with Caterpillar and spent her downtime completing intricate puzzles, which we would then put on display in her home. She enjoyed watching soap operas, visiting with friends, and hiking-particularly when she lived in Tucson, AZ. Becky is described as having been a strong-willed person armed with both stubbornness and determination; she was the first person in her family to attend college and did so while raising her two sons as a single mother. She did not let other people's opinions or doubts weigh her down, she was steadfast on living life her own way. Above all, Becky loved spending time with her friends and family. Please continue to lift her family and friends as they navigate this profound loss. Becky's determination, kindness, and unwavering spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Becky was preceded in death by her parents, James and Betty Peterson; aunt, Goldie Guy; and uncle, Terry Guy.
Left to cherish Becky's memory are her beloved sons, Michael (Kortney) Guy of Bloomington, IL, and Tyler Guy of O'Fallon, IL; her brother, Bobby (Christina) Guy of Pekin, IL; three grandchildren, Haleigh, Lily, and Peyton; niece, Alex Cookson of Quincy, IL; as well as many dear friends, many whom she has held close for over 20 years.

A celebration of life will be held Saturday, January 25, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Hampton Inn and Suites in Normal, IL, 320 Towanda Avenue, Normal, IL 61761.
