Becky Larson

Becky Gene (Loehrlein) Larson, 80, of Evansville, Indiana, passed away Saturday, September 27, 2025 at Heart to Heart Hospice.
Becky was born in Evansville, Indiana on June 6, 1945 to the late Eugene and Betty (Wilder) Loehrlein. Becky worked as a teacher for 45 years. She began her teaching career at Sacred Heart, and eventually settled at Mater Dei High School where she retired from after 34 years at the school. During her time at Mater Dei, Becky was the head tennis coach, leading the Wildcats to the first sectional championship in program history. She continued to coach as an assistant after her retirement. Becky was a longtime, committed member of Holy Rosary. She served in numerous capacities at the church, including: food and fellowship, church cleaners, and bereavement meals. Becky was extremely active in her sororities: Zi Epsilon and Epsilon of Beta Delta Kappa. Over the years, she held every office and committee in the organizations. In her free time, Becky enjoyed playing tennis, sewing, arts and crafts, and collecting antiques. Above all, she loved her family dearly.
Becky is survived by her sister, Linda Davis; brother, David Loehrlein, Patrick Loehrlein, Chris Loehrlein (Yvonne); and Eugene Loehrlein Jr.; grandchildren, Colton Daniels (Kourtney) and Logan Daniels; great-grandchildren, Peyton, Carter, and Grace Daniels; nieces, Lisa Loehrlein, Jamie Parker (Greg), Katie Loehrlein, Rachel Walters (Phillip), and Clara Erwin (Jeff); nephews, Grant Loehrlein and Kevin Davis; several great nieces and nephews; and her beloved dog, Jade.
Becky was preceded in death by her loving husband of 42 years, Larry Larson; parents; and sister-in-law, Myra Loehrlein.
A Mass of the Resurrection will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, October 4, 2025, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 1301 S Green River Rd., Evansville, IN 47715 with Fr. Bernie Etienne celebrating. A committal service and niche placement will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery Mausoleum.
Family and friends may visit from 4:00 pm until 6:30 pm on Friday, October 3, 2025, at Browning Funeral Home, 738 Diamond Ave., Evansville, IN 47711. A memorial service will be held at 6:30 pm. Family and friends may visit again from 9:00 am until mass time on Saturday at Holy Rosary.
