Becky Sue Leitl

Becky Sue Leitl, 76, a member of the Banks community passed away on June 27th, 2023 at OHSU Hillsboro Medical Center.
Becky was born on May 18, 1947. She was the first of two children born to Robert and Patsy (Campbell) Verpoorten. She was raised in Portland, Sherwood and Banks. Becky graduated from Banks High School with the Class of 1965. While attending high school, Becky tutored fellow students.
Becky met her future husband, Jack Leitl, in high school. They were married on March 29, 1969 and made their first home together in Texas where Jack was stationed. Together they had two children, Debra and John. Becky and Jack moved their family back to Oregon after his discharge, living on Green Mountain Road and finally, in Banks.
Becky loved sewing and quilting and enjoyed being part of the Westside Quilters Guild, a non-profit organization. She also enjoyed owning and operating an alteration shop, Becky's Boutique, in Banks. Becky worked a in high-tech as a buyer for many years. She also loved traveling and enjoyed a trip all around the South West with Jack and family. Their avid traveling took them all over the West.
She is preceded in death by her parents; Robert and Patsy and brother; Robert Verpoorten Jr.
She is survived by her loving husband; Jack, children; Debra Leitl of Banks, John Robert Leitl of Beaverton and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
