Becky Lee Pesko
(nee Soma)
Becky Lee Pesko, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 2, 2026, in Joliet, Illinois at the age of 66. She was born on August 31, 1959, in Berwyn, Illinois, to the late William and Marilyn Soma.
Known for her loving nature, Becky cherished time spent with her family above all else. She also enjoyed gardening, traveling, and photography, pursuits that brought her joy and allowed her to appreciate the beauty in the world around her.
Becky is survived by her devoted husband, Russell Pesko; her children, Scott (Sarah) Bovyn, Patrick (Emilie) Bovyn, and Jennifer (Christopher) Zappa; her beloved only grandson, Leonard Bovyn; her sister, Cynthia Soma; and her niece, Marilyn Crutchfield.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her grandmother, Evelyn Jablonski.
Becky's memory will be held dear by all who knew and loved her.
A Memorial Gathering for Becky Lee Pesko will be held on Wednesday, January 14, 2026, at Zion Lutheran Church, 204 S. Grant Street, Hinsdale, IL, from 10:30 a.m. until the time of the service at 11:30 a.m. As it was her request, cremation rites have been accorded.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in her name to Hopeful Tails Animal Rescue, 2303 Oak Leaf Street, Joliet, IL 60431 would be appreciated.
