Memorial services for Mrs. Belva Holder will be held Sunday, March 16, 2025, at 4PM in the chapel of Shelton Funeral Home. A gathering with the family will be held Sunday, March 16, 2025, beginning at 2 PM until service time.
Belva Jean Crum Holder, 87, went to her Heavenly Home Tuesday, March 11, 2025, at Baptist Reynolds Hospice Home in Collierville TN-surrounded by loved ones.
Mrs. Holder was born May 27, 1937, in Texas County, Missouri to the late Otis Crum (Margaret Dismuke Crum) and Gertrude Thomas.
Belva was a homemaker and seamstress in Arlington, TN for most of her adult life. She enjoyed being outside working in her garden, cooking, baking, and feeding those that she loved. She was a lover of puzzles, crosswords and Memphis State and Lady Vols basketball. Belva loved to stay busy, as she was always sewing, cooking, cleaning or "pedaling at the Y."
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Harold "Rusty" Holder; three children, Debbie Duncan, David Holder, Jimmy Holder, and Niece Sheliah Whitley; two brothers, John E. Crum, Gerald Crum; and a sister Kathryn Richardson.
Surviving her are her son, Danny Holder (Shelah) of Medina, TN; Grandchildren James Duncan, Ali Duncan, Ricky Holder, Brett Holder, Alexis Holder Bridger, and Grace Holder; two great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly with all her heart.
Please join us in praising our Heavenly Father, for bringing Belva to be by His side. Isaiah 41:10 "Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness."
