Benjamin Vernon Clark II, age 82 of Marion, passed away on Saturday, March 7, 2026. He was born on January 2, 1944 in Monticello, AR to Benjamin and Eleanor (Longstreth) Clark. On August 21, 1965 he married Jacquelyn Campbell.
Benjamin graduated from Caro High School in 1962, then attended CMU and graduated in 1967 with a Bachelor of Science & Education. He received his Master in School Administration from CMU in 1972. He moved to Marion in 1968 where he worked at the Marion High School from 1968-2004. In the 36 years of working at the school he taught art, biology, and science, also was the principle for 5 years. Worked for H & R Block for two years as a receptionist. He was a member of the McBain Baptist Church for 55 years. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and camping, especially fly fishing. Member of the Marion Rod & Gun Club, along with being a safety instructor.
He is survived by his wife Jacquelyn Clark of Marion, sons; Kean (Lori) Clark of Marion, Theron (Rebecca) Clark of Marion, grandchildren; Tylor Clark (Madison Danforth) of Grayling, Heather Clark of Essexville, great-grandchildren; Willow Grace Clark of Grayling, Tatum James Clark of Grayling, and another on the way. Niece Courtney (Clark) Stelzner of Cheyenne, WY, nephew Sylas Clark of Colorado.
He is preceded in death by his parents Benjamin and Eleanor Clark, and brother Greg Clark.
A celebration of life will be held at the McBain Baptist Church Fellowship Hall at a later date this spring. The Burkholder-Nielsen Funeral Home in McBain is serving the family. The online obituary can be visited at burkholderfunerals.com
