CHURCHVILLE – Paul Benton "Ben" McManaway, 76, passed away Wednesday, October 22, 2025.
Ben was born in Staunton on April 4, 1949, and was a son of Arlene Wimer McManaway of Churchville and the late Ralph Benton McManaway. He was a 1968 graduate of Buffalo Gap High School and a U. S. Air Force veteran.
Prior to retirement, he was employed by Plecker Construction for 15 years. Ben was an avid hunter and fisherman, and loved attending air shows. He was a skilled handyman who stayed busy building, repairing and maintaining many things, to the great benefit of his family and friends.
Ben was preceded in death by his father, and his brother, Walter McManaway.
He is survived by his mother; two sons, Will McManaway and wife Lynn of Greenville, and Eric McManaway and wife Amy of Staunton; his companion, Brenda Dice of Churchville; three grandchildren, Skyler Webb, Corey McManaway and Devon McManaway; and four great-grandchildren, Owen Webb, and Rowen, Renley and Romy McManaway; and a number of nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday (October 25) in Green Hill Cemetery, officiated by Pastor Jonathan Farmer.
