Mr. Benito Reyes Mauricio, 92, was called home to return to the house of our Heavenly Father on Sunday, August 17, 2025, at his residence, surrounded by his family. Benito was born on March 21, 1933, the son of the late Benito Reyes and Lorenza Mauricio de Reyes.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Alicia Parra de Reyes; daughter: Ana Maria Lopez; sons: Guadalupe Reyes, Juan Martin Reyes; granddaughter, Karen Reyes; great-granddaughter, Viviana Lopez sister: Consuelo Reyes Mauricio.
Left behind to cherish his memory are his children: Gloria Estela (Alfonso) Reyes de Rico, Jose Luis (Maria Eugenia) Reyes, Benito Reyes, Arturo David (Dora Alicia) Reyes, Santos Roberto (Rosa Maria) Reyes, Jesus Manuel (Leticia) Reyes, Adrian (Alejandra) Reyes; siblings: Maria de los Angeles Cisneros and Manuel Reyes, as well as his adored grandchildren, which number 38, great-grandchildren-51, and 12 great-great-grandchildren. Furthermore, he is survived by the numerous friends, and extended family he made along his life journey.
The family will receive condolences on Tuesday, August 19, 2025, from 5 to 9 pm at Hillside Funerals and Cremations, where a Rosary will be offered for the repose of his soul at 7 pm.
Funeral services will continue on Wednesday, August 20, 2025, departing the funeral home at 9:20 am to Santo Nino Catholic Church, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 am.
Rite of Committal and Interment will follow at the family plot in the Calvary Catholic Cemetery, where he will be laid to rest alongside his wife, Alicia.
