Benjamin Bailey, age 76, of Howell, Michigan, died peacefully on January 30, 2025. Born on July 7, 1948, in Detroit, Michigan, to Vern and Rita (Carli) Bailey, Ben was one of seven children.
Ben proudly attended Lawrence Tech University and dedicated forty years of his life to working as an automation sales representative for automotive companies and was able to travel the world and make many lasting friendships.
On April 15, 1972, Ben married the love of his life, Claudia, at Stephens Methodist Church and they enjoyed fifty two years together. A passionate outdoorsman, Ben enjoyed golfing, hunting, fishing, and classic cars. He was also an active member of Stephens United Methodist and later Life Church where he taught Sunday school. He was a proud 32nd Degree Scottish Rite Mason. As a member of the Dearborn Country Club, he cherished the friendships he made through his many years there.
Ben had an appreciation for the finer things in life-whether it was savoring a good cigar, dining out with friends, spending quality time with family, or reading a good spy novel.
Ben is survived by his beloved wife of 52 years, Claudia Bailey; sons, Brandon (Lisa) Bailey and Blake (Elizabeth) Bailey; daughter, Morgan (Patrick) Drummond; grandchildren, Shae, Mallory, Miles, Eleanor, Walker, and Abram; and brothers, Elwin and Harvey Bailey as well as many extended family members. He was preceded in death by his parents, Vern and Rita Bailey, and his siblings, George, Vern, Eleanor, and David.
The family will be holding a private memorial service at a later date.
Memorial Donations can be made to The Leukemia And Lymphoma Society.
